Student Leadership

Leadership skill development and opportunities are available throughout the school and in all year levels.

Classroom teachers are conscious of providing experiences which support the development of learner agency and also build on the capabilities of their students.

Children are encouraged to put themselves forward for the Student Representative Council (SRC) which meets regularly to discuss and make suggestions for school improvement.

Additional leadership experiences include attending student forums, becoming a Fire Carrier Leader and facilitating student led lunchtime clubs and activities.

In addition to having school captains, all our Year 6s apply for a position in a Leadership Team to which they would like to contribute. Our current Leadership Teams include, Faith in Action, Learning and Innovation, Community, Health and Wellbeing. The Year 6s participate in ongoing workshops which focus on various skills such as communication, setting and achieving goals and developing team projects.
