WE LOVE FRANKSTON
Our Frankston
St Francis Xavier Primary School is uniquely placed in the very heart of Frankston, surrounded by the vibrant life of our local community. Within a short walk, our students enjoy access to the beautiful Frankston Beach, the Frankston Library, the PARC Recreation Centre, and the expansive Botanical Gardens. Our central location allows learning to regularly extend beyond the classroom, connecting children with the natural, cultural and civic spaces that help shape our city.

We are equally proud of our strong partnerships with key community organisations that enrich our students’ understanding of service and social responsibility. Our ongoing engagement with Frankston Hospital, Vasey Hill RSL Aged Care, Community Support Frankston and St Vincent de Paul provides meaningful opportunities for students to learn, serve and build empathy. These relationships reflect our commitment to nurturing compassionate, active citizens who contribute positively to the wider Frankston community.

CARRYING THE FIRE OF RECONCILIATION
Fire Carriers

We are proud to be part of the FIRE Carriers Program (Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education). This initiative provides students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and spiritualities, while promoting respect, justice, and reconciliation within our school community. Through their leadership, our FIRE Carriers help to educate others, celebrate significant cultural events, and strengthen our shared commitment to walking together in harmony.
VOICES FOR OUR SCHOOL
School Advisory Council
At St Francis Xavier, our School Advisory Council plays an important role in supporting the life and direction of our school. Made up of parents, the Principal, parish representatives, and staff, the Council provides advice on school improvement, policy development, and future planning. This partnership between school and community helps ensure that decisions are guided by shared values and a commitment to providing the best possible learning environment for all students.

OUR VILLAGE
Friends of SFX

Our ‘Friends of SFX’ group is a vibrant and dedicated team of parents and carers who help build community spirit through fundraising and fun events throughout the year. From discos and sausage sizzles to special celebration days, Mother’s and Father’s day events, cake stalls and raffles, their efforts make a big difference to school life — both by raising funds for projects that benefit our students and by creating opportunities for families to connect and get involved. Everyone is welcome to join in and be part of the fun!
