Enrolment

SFX_Logo_White_edited.png

To enrol in our Foundation class in 2027, families are strongly encouraged to book a tour in Term One, 2026. This is an opportunity to look around the school, meet the leadership team and see the wonderful things that St Francis Xavier has to offer. Group Tours are available to be booked online, or feel free to call  Kathryn or Kellie in the school office on (03) 97833424 and book a personalised tour with the Principal, Steve.

Enrolment applications should then be completed online. It is advised to submit your online application as early as possible in 2026, as enrolment meetings can be scheduled as soon as you have completed a tour and submitted the application.

Each year, St Francis Xavier Primary School has a single Foundation class, so it is best to get in early.

Enrolment age is determined by the Department of Education, Employment and Training. To be eligible for enrolment in 2027, children must be turning  five years of age, prior to the 30th April, 2027.

Enrolment Procedure

To enrol your child at St Francis Xavier Primary School,  we ask that you first complete an enrolment application online. Once this is received, you will be contacted to make a time to come in for an enrolment meeting with your child. This is a very casual meeting which runs for approximately 30 minutes. The purpose is to learn more about your child, including their hobbies, special interests and favourite things to learn about.

If you would first like a copy of the School Prospectus, please follow the link at the top of this page and you will be emailed a copy.

When submitting the enrolment application form, we ask families to please include the following documentation:

  • Birth certificate

  • Immunisation Statement

  • Sacramental Certificates (eg: Baptismal certificate, if applicable)

  • Temporary or permanent residency status document (if applicable)

  • Visa information (if applicable)

  • Most recent school report (if applicable)

All-black shoes are required as part of the uniform; a ‘runner’ style is perfectly acceptable, provided they are completely black.

Hats must be worn outside during Terms 1 and 4.

Uniforms can be purchased either in-store or online from Peninsula Uniforms and Embroidery in Carrum Downs. You can view our school’s uniform range here.

The school has a large number of second hand uniform items for sale at the school office for $10 each.
